Help! no return flights from SEA in early Jan

Apparently I'm making my travel arrangements too late. Just did an online search for r/t tickets to Saigon betw. 12/11 and 1/5 and there doesn't seem to be any availability! Tried the same dates for BKK and no luck. I went to a couple of travel agencies in my local Chinatown today and they all said I was out of luck - most flights around the Xmas holidays are booked 6 month in advance!

Anyone have suggestions? I had my heart set on Vietnam over Xmas/New Years.

how about an organized tour either from the airlines or from someone like pacific delights...you could take what they offer and extend if you wanted to stay longer...you do not need to participate in their daily offerings...maybe they have room in the manger for you

Try Air France, they have 4 flights per week, not a well known service so you may be lucky, they have full rights on the sector, call Air France and ask them to check available dates, once you find seats get the booking refrence and then pass to your t/agent to take over the booking. Alternatives would be via KL or SIN.

Thanks, James. I'll try Air France. Why do I have to pass the booking to a travel agent? Can't I do it myself directly with Air France?

Apologize for ignorance, but which airlines are KL and SIN?

Thanks so much!

Thise aren't airlines, but are cities that are also gateways to SE Asia (though not as close to Saigon as Bangkok is). KL=Kuala Lampur, Malaysia, hub of Malaysian Air; SIN=Singapore, hub of Singapore Airlines. Both are excellent airlines.
