Help me with Air Asia Flight

I 'm a bit confused with out Air Air flt on Monday. We fly from Chiang Mai to BKK on BKK Airways. We plan to carry on our luggage on this flight. In BKK we have to transfer to an Air Asia flight to Krabi. We need to check our luggage. We have already prepaid the baggage fee. We have checked in online for the Air Asia flight. where do we go to check our bag for the Air Asia flight. also re the CM airport, is the only security the one u go thru at the entrance to the airport?
Thanks

CM airport security is the same as BKK and you will have to go through the front door metal detector and then prior to boarding the plane you will have to through a more thorough security check.

For the Air Asia flight you will have to go to the landside of the airport, this mean you will have to exit the secure area after landing and then take the escalator up to the departure zone to check-in. It's good that you will not check anything on the BKK airways flight as this will save you some time.

Thank u. Is this someplace special we go with our bags for the Air Asia flight since we will have checked in online and have our boarding passes? We have almost three hours between flights so thought that would be fine, assuming an on time arrival by the BKK Airways flight.

You can check your bag(s) in at one of their counter. 3 hours is plenty!
