help me find a tour group
 

I would like to go on a group tour that visits the following places- bejing, xian,<BR>kumming, lijing, dali. We will be traveling<BR>in late August and early September. Can anyone reccommend an escorted group tour.

I took a tour of China with China Focus (they're based in San Francisco and have a web site chinafocus.com) as did some friends. I thought the guides were excellent. Not sure if they visit all of the cities you mention (I did go to Xian, and Beijing along with Guilan & Shanghai) but it might be worth calling them to see what they have. The trips are so reasonable that it's hard to beat. As I recall, the national tour guide told my friends he would set up an individual trip.

I checked out the website and was impressedd by their itinenarys. Thanks <BR>for your advice. Since laurus does not take credit cards, do you think there should be some concern?

The only reason that some other tour operators such as China Focus and Laurus do not accept credit card is because of the 3% merchant fee. We went with Laurus in April on the 22-day China panorama tour. We traveled with China Focus two years ago but like Laurus better because of the latter's small group size.

Just spoke to two couples who returned from a Laurus tour recently. Because of their strong endorsement, we decided to book the China Panorama tour departing October 7. Hope someone here can join us!<BR><BR>Sarah
