Help Kuranosuke or anyone else...Bangkok to Penang
 

I haven't been keeping up with all of the Penang posts, but was wondering if there is a direct flight to Penang from Bangkok or am I to fly someplace else and then either fly on to Penang or take a ferry from Butterworth(?) or what? It sounds kind of hard to get there. I've always wanted to go there and would definitely go there from Bangkok.I might fly to KL first and then on to Penang. How would I go about the transportation situation? Thanks. Happy Travels!

yes I've done a couple of visa runs too penang I and many other runners use airasia they have a dirict flight that can be had for about $50 total..
