Help! ...guide needed Seoul - March 2010
My husband and I will be arriving in Seoul on a cruise ship for one day only in
March 2010, and would like to connect with an English speaking driver/guide to pick us up at the ship and take us to Itewan Market and other sites around the city. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks in advance and Happy New Year. |
I wish I had an answer to your specific question. I have visited Korea and stayed in Seoul and there is not much info on this site pertaining to Korea. I thought most of the cruise ships came to Busan so I am not sure where the port is for Seoul as Seoul is not on the ocean. I think the best source of informatuion may be through your cruise line.
Good luck and enjoy your cruise! |
Why you would even need a guide, to go to a market is beyond me
|
Why would you even need to make a smart ass comment to a legitimate request for help?

You might consider a Goodwill Guide (volunteers who offer free guide service - you pay for their transportation, museum admission, etc.) - more information is available at http://asiaenglish.visitkorea.or.kr/...EN_2_7_3_1.jsp
Just FYI, Itaewon is a pretty touristy area, so prices are higher than in other parts of Seoul. Also, I might have missed the "market" part, but when I visited Itaewon last month it seemed to be more of a shopping street with lots of stores and restaurants (including many Western ones) than a market like Dongdaemun and Namdaemun. Are you arriving into Incheon on your cruise? If so, be aware that it will take you at least an hour, and maybe more like 90 minutes, to get from Incheon to the center of Seoul. |
