Help for day trips
 

My daughter is going on a cruise and will be in Laem Chabang Thailand from 7am to 7pm on one day. The cruise line says it takes 2.5 hours to get to Bangkok so that leaves only 7 hours time in Bangkok. Would it be better to spend a day at Pattaya. Is there much to see at Pattaya? Also she has 1 day at Ho Chi Minh City. Any suggestions on must see places would be appreciated. The organised tours from the cruise company are very expensive.

She should defifitely spend as much time in Bangkok as possible. 7 hours will fly by. There are unique sights and activities.

there is nothing of interest in pattaya for the tourist....bangkok is the place....i would hire one of the guides often mentione here like cherry:

Thanks for the help. They are hiring a driver and mini bus and spending the day in Bangkok.

Following the suggestions on this board, I wanted to arrange for Cherry to be our guide. I sent her a request at [email protected] but the message bounced (Permanent Failure: 550_Requested_action_not_taken:_mailbox_unavailabl e). does anyone have a better address?

Cherry's email address in magical (underscore) routes it doesn't show up well here, as the program doesn't recognize the underscore and preceedng word as part of the address. She has another email address someone posted - do a search.

we used cherry less than two weeks ago for a day tour out of bangkok... she was amazing. she is pretty good about reading and responding to emails quickly... definitely contact her for a day tour, as if your daughters do it alone they wont get much time too see what they want to.
