Yes, I've done searches and put together some ideas. I'll be in Bangkok for four days--two full days of business meetings w/ scheduled meals, etc. But I will have the arrival day + one full day to spend at leisure.

What are your favorite things to do/see/not miss in Bangkok? Due to the short timeframe, I'm looking only for suggestions in Bangkok.

We're taking a dinner cruise as part of the business meetings and I figured that I'll most likely visit Wat Arun.

Thanks!

The Grand Palace should start the day, followed by Wat Pho and Chinatown. Lunch at the Jim Thompson House and then shopping etc around Siam Square, MBK, paragon Mall etc. An alternative lunch spot, if you skip the JT House is at the loft at Central Dept. Store (Chitlom). If you have any energy left, a klong tour can be fun and relatively cool in the afternoon.

gpanda has given you good ideas...the nite market on wireless and rama iv roads is good at nite and may give you good shopping alternatives...

custom made clothing may be available in your hotel...where are you staying? we may be able to suggest local things for you there...

jewelry is a great buy in bkk, especially gold and sapphires and rubies....

If you are there over the weekend, the Weekend Market via the Skytrain is a very interesting, somewhat hectic, local market to visit w/ so many great things to buy for so little. Be sure to bargain!
