Has anyone seen an aggressive person in Thailand?

The Thai people have to be the most laid back passive people on earth. Has anyone seen a Thai person turn violent or aggressive?

It is poor form in Thailand to be aggressive, assertive or emotional in public. As a result the people may seem passive.

They are also very good at pickpocketing in Bangkok.

Yes, I saw a nasty man. He conned a child into walking him home from a tribal dance under the guise of being too drunk to find his own way. Of course he only wanted to have sex with the boy and got ugly when the boy tried to get away without saying anything confrontational( which would have been contrary to all Thai behavior standards).Of course the ugly man was not Thai, but a Brit. Don`t mistake the Thai self control for passivity or cowardice. My impression was, with all the outsiders trying to run amuck, the Thai way is to smile and let time bury the intruders. They have never been dominated. I`d be interested to hear from more knowledgable persons on the subject.....

No better, no worse. When the top blows, it 'really' blows! Keep well clear... Yes, of course, you should pick up some local papers. No worse, no better
