Has anyone heard of Baan Kamnerdploy Resort?

Hello,

In my quest for lodging near koh Talu, I cam across this resort. The website is available here: http://www.baankamnerdploy.com/home.html

Has anyone heard or, better yet, stayed at this resort near Bang Saphan? I realize most of the resorts south of Pranburi are relatively basic, but I am arranging a family outing to koh Talu and other sites in the area and am looking for a clean, newer place to stay for one or two nights. The rest of the time, I will be in Hua Hin likely staying at YaiYa.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! I'm thinking JamesA might be able to help..?

Thanks in advance!

I visited Koh Talu last Saturday(11th April) based on JamesA suggestion as well and if your intention is to visit Koh Talu why not spend the night on the island's resort? The rack rate, THB 4,100 per pax per night is quite expensive IMO but you can negotiate. The rooms or villas did look quite nice and comfortable. We did the day trip and I got the price down from THB 1,200 per pax to THB 1,000. This included the ferry transfer, speedboat for snorkeling in the morning, a good spread buffet lunch, use of the resort's facilities, use of the Kayaks and plenty of bottle water.

I did not see the resort you've mentioned but there were a few of them around there. The distance from the Center of Hua Hin beach to the pier for the Koh Talu ferry is 190 KM on 2 lane roads with questionable road surface for part of the way. We did the drive in 2 hours so you might want to take that into consideration and stay in Hua Hin instead. The Ferry for the day trip leave at 10.00 am and return at 3.00 pm.

Took some pictures(http://khun-pook.smugmug.com/) but they are rather private for family and friends. If you are interested in seeing the pictures send me an email - [email protected] and I'll send you the password.

Fogot to mention that the resort's rate is full board.

I just recheck the room rates for the resort on Koh Talu and it's cheaper than the THB 4,100 per pax rate.

Hanuman,

Thanks so much for the information. Also, good to know the info about the day trip since I didn't know when the ferry leaves. I'll explore these options as well.
