Hanoi Kids
I am thinking of booking Hanoi kids for my first morning in Hanoi (which will be in November)
as the HCMC Mausoleum will be closed (for his annual "trip" to Russia) which was going to be one of my stops with them, i need to think of some other places to go and do you think its worth going to the temple of literature with them or is that better done on your own? I wanted to get a "taste" of Hanoi with maybe lunch at Koto with them, if anyone has any itinerary ideas, i would be glad of the advice. Also, how long did it take them to respond to emails? I emailed them a few days ago and as yet have heard nothing? Thanks S |
While the Mausoleum may be closed, there are other interesting sites in the complex: Uncle Ho's two homes, the Presidential Palace and the One-Pillar Pagoda. I learned more about the Temple of Literature from reading about it than I did from Hanoikids but that shouldn't stop you from having them take you there. The Hoa Lo Prison is worth a visit as is the Military History Museum. Obviously you can't do all of that in one day. The benefit of having Hanoikids take you around is that they know the city and its sites so getting around will be more efficient than if you try to do it on your own (especially on your first day there).
I would e-mail them again (double check the address) - Hanoikids always responded within 24 hours when I tried to contact them. |
Thanks Craig I will try them again and also add the HCM complex back onto my list.
