Hanoi hotels, budget and nice?
I'm looking for a budget to moderate priced hotel in Hanoi. I'd prefer the Old Quarter or French Quarter. Any recommendations? Thanks! Missy

I recommend "Tien Thuy" hotel.

I've stayed at the Win and at the Classic Street 2, both in the Old Quarter. Both were budget, but fine. But things change fast, have you checked the guidebooks?

We thought the Camilla I, II, III, etc. were all just fine and price right for what you got, including a great buffet breakfast. ($20-40).

We are heading to Hanoi soon and chose the Golden Lotus after reading some reviews on travelfish.org (this is a good site for Vietnam information) and tripadvisor.com Also considered the Church (or Church Street) Hotel. Both are smaller, boutique but at reasonable prices.

Has anyone heard of the Jasper hotel ? Haven't seen any reviews? Looking for a mid to Sup. level hotel in hanoi for Christmas.
