Hanoi & Taipei Hotels
Hi.
I just have the Hanoi and Taipei portion of my trip to find accommodation for.
Any recommendations of a boutique hotel or guesthouse to stay at in Hanoi? In the mid-range? Would $30 be appropriate per night? I heard that the Old Quarter is very loud, is this true?
And also, any suggestions of a decently priced hotel to stay at in Taipei? I'm just there for 2 days so prefer a place that is a bit more conveniently located. I noticed online that hotels are very costly in Taipei.
Thanks,
gtrekker2003

Hi gtrekker,
we went to hanoi last year in the old quarter, can't recall the name, but there's plenty of choices.you could just walk around and shop for the accomodation, Hanoi is a very noisyand crowded place unless you stay at the sofitel.
In Taipei I would reccomend the Cosmos Hotel.
This hotel stands very close to Taipei Main station. From Exit#3, you can go to the hotel directly.Rooms are very clean and you can get new bottle of water every day. The area is very nce with plenty of bars and reastaurants.
Enjoy

Enrico says "Hanoi is a very noisyand crowded place unless you stay at the sofitel." There are plenty of places to stay that are quieter and are not the Sofitel. The old quarter is quite noisy, but you can opt to stay just outside the old quarter and you'll find it quieter.
Sorry, I don't have a suggestion in your price range. But do look at some of the hotel booking sites, perhaps asiarooms.com and see what you can find.
