handmade paper in thailand?
 
hi. i'm going to be travelling to thailand in november and am interested in buying some handmade paper for photo albums i make. does anyone know of a source? thanks. <BR>anna

You should be able to find it almost anywhere. I bought some at a craft fair in Bangkok and at the night market in Chaing Mai.

Check out Bo Sang just outside of Chiang Mai. This is the umbrella village - where they make the paper for the umbrellas. The leftover paper is sold almost as an afterthought. I got small packs of stationery for about US$1.50 a pack and a great photo album, with picture corners, for US$10. I think they also sold large sheets of the paper. Have a great trip.

Ditto on poster above. We bought gift wrapping paper at Bo Sang which would also be appropriate for your photo albums.
