Delhi, India Hotels/Guest Houses

I am planning a trip to India in October (our first) and am running into problems because of the big festival at the end of the month. Several of the top rated B and B's in Delhi are full even two weeks before the October 30th holiday. Any ideas for small, owner on premises B and B's with good food, clean rooms and willingness to help arrange cars and drivers. We are spending a month in India-two weeks in the south and two weeks in the north. Thanks in advance for help.

Saubhag B and B if you haven't already contacted them. A wonderful place with great food, beautiful lodging, and a delightful hostess. Check out tripadvisor reviews #14.
We stayed with Meera several nights two years ago at the end of a two month trip to India. We loved it there.

We loved B-Nineteen near Humayun's Tomb. Cool architectural building with stylish decor, leafy residential neighborhood, yummy home cooked food, rooftop views, accommodating staff, interesting fellow guests. A true home away from home...and an Anokhi outlet around the corner.

Meera is great but Saubhag has few rooms and is very hard to find availability for, even in "quiet" periods.
Try Tree of Life--the owner is gracious, and terrific, and also owns a car/driver rental place too with great prices. For a smaller place, in South Delhi, try Chhoti Haveli--also a wonderful, helpful owner! You won't go wrong with either of these.

You should check out this list of by Tripadvisor. They have like a list of top 1000 BnB's and you just need to check out or choose from top 10. This is the link https://www.tripadvisor.in/Hotels-g3...hi-Hotels.html

Plus also make sure to choose the correct neighborhood as Southern Delhi is rated as the posh as compare to regions like Karol Bagh, Paharganj and Mahipalpur.

Hope I was able to assist.

Regards,
Pratap Singh

Thanks for all of your suggestions. We switched our dates and found a solution which coincidentally was one of your suggestions.
