Private guide/driver needed in beijing
hiroshima, kyoto......please!

I am looking forward to responses on Kyoto as I have been looking for one too, for several months now...

We just used MS taxi service. They provided us with an english speaking driver/guide and car. He was excellent. MS has a website for information.

JuneAnn, was it in fact MK and not MS? How much was it? MK website says it is 18800 yen for 3 hrs, plus additional 1000 yen per hour. Is that what you paid?

Have not been able to contact jane-yeo in Beijing. Does anyone have names of guides in Hiroshima, shanghai, Seoul?

Not sure how good this group is ...However i was directed to www.ineedhotel.com from another fodorite recently. "CWN" got me in touch with Harrison Wang with ineedhotel.com - I emailed my needs to him and he replied within 1 day. I've arranged for a van/guide in both Shanghai and Beijing...
Rates seemed to be negotiable and for 5 of us, I thought they were also quite reasonable. Good Luck. Perhaps I can give you some feedback if your trip is after ours - we'll be back 1st week of April.

Thank you for your reply- yes our trip is after yours, would welcome any information you have to share! Am also looking for info on Taipei, Seoul, Kobe-Kyoto........guides in Beijing area are far more plentiful. If you need help with that I have lots of information. Thanks again and enjoy your trip!
