group size?

Hi,
Hubby and I are heading to China and Tibet this fall for a two week tour. We have it narrowed down to Ritz Tours and China Focus. Can anyone tell me the approximate group size for either tour company? I assume since the price is so reasonable that the groups are fairly large (30+)?

Thanks,
Heather

Call the tour companies and ask. They are the only ones who know. Be sure to ask for two pieces of information: how large is the average group, and do you have an upper limit on the number of people in a group?

Group size is also a functon of
1. number of departure dates (e.g. the fewer the departure dates, usually the larger the group size)
2. when you are travelling ... high season in Sept and Oct in China = larger group size
3. overall popularity of the tour
The size of your group will vary. However, last June we had about 26 in our 15-day China Focus group. Most of the time we had 40-passenger buses, so we could spread out a bit. I hope the group of folks you get turn out to be as nice as ours.
