Greetings from Delhi!
HI all! Namaste!
I am finally back in India, after a good many months in the STATes.
I just arrived a few hours ago TO dELHI from Bangkok. i AM already nestled in my little guesthouse in Greater Kalish, which now has wirelss, so here i am..
I am exasuted but can not sleep so thought to say Namaste!
I will periodically report on the ground happenings in India, once i get back in the swing of things.
I will also say a thing or two about my travel from Bangkok's new aiprot to Delhi, but can not think straight now and can not think of Airports right now....
Anyways, i am sipping a fresh lime soda and ahving a late night snack and then to sleep as tommorow i am back to work leading groups in India..Yes, a superb work, my Dream job actually!
I will be on the road most of the season leading groups thru North India and Nepal, but i also have a few tours to South too, which is becomming a hot destination, specifically for those comming back to India for a second trip. I always say to my groups, if you like North, by all means come back and go south.. Very often if you like North India, you will Love south, another world entirely..
I too plan to spend much of my free time in the south this year, if i can tear myself away from Bombay and Bangkok, my two adopted hubs.
Anyways, I will be in/out of India the next 7/8 months so anyone planning on comming to this neck of the woods who has questions, would like some help or advice, feel free to drop me a line..maybe even a meet-up in delhi, although I will be on the Indian road about 90% of the time..
Anyways, off to sleep now and tommorow back to the wonderful Madness! Ahhhhh, INDIA!!! namaste!

Greetings again from Delhi! Namaste everybody!
My first day back and quickly trying to get things together as my first group comes into Delhi in a few hours, Air India from JFK! I have been running around shopping, haggling, chatting with friends, sipping chai, recharging my phone, collecting all my stored baggage from last spring, etc, etc.…
I will be on the road for the next twelve days so need to pack up quickly. I went thru all my India clothes from last season, and could not bear to look at it, wash it, iron it, etc...I decided quickly i was sick of all my last years iNDIA GARB, AND made a mad dash to one of my favorite local stores FAB INDIA and there is one in my neighborhood of GK1, and completely re-outfited myself with the latest fall fashions.
I love this store for it is a place where u can mix and match outfits, separte pants, (salwars/Churidars,) Kurtas(tops/long, short, half sleeve, full sleeve,) and endless array of scarves..I went in for fall silks, and i may be very tired and esxausted, but look Good! I had one of the cute young girls help me mix and match, as my time was limited! I did very well at the shop, and bought about five complete new colorful outfits! Ahhh, the fun of shopping in India!
Oh, funny thing, the store is usually overwhelmed with customers but today swas almost completely empty today as there is some strike for something or other politico, and most stores are closed for this..There is always something going on in Delhi when i return, never a dull moment..Anyways, Fab India stayed open and lucky for Me..
Anways, just got news that my imcomming American groups flight is delayed a few hours, so unlucky for them, but kind of good for me as i can use a few more hours to rest, recoup, and re-group, before i hit the road and that is also why I have time to be on line..
MY hotel this year has wirelss, but it is hit or miss, one minute working, the next, lost in cyber space..This will be tricky....But at least i know it is is there, and that is a good thing!
OH, My group coming in tonight is a bunch of American Doctors and I will be with them for 12 days, and this tour covers Delhi, Jaipur, Agra, orcha, Khajuraho and Varanasi., sightseeing and Medical visits...A nice sweet and short trip!
Then I have about a week down-time, where I will either widdle away in Delhi, Bombay or thinking I may go to Bkk as I will probably need some Rest and relaxtion already afther my first India tour!…Thinking ahead..
Then my next group in November is pretty much the same itinerary but with Katmandu too, and not Docs!!!! Oh, Nepal is also one of my favorite countries, and I am also very versed in this region and conversent in the language too, so if anyone is planning a Nepal trip for that matter, u too can drop me a line
Oh, Sharon, where are you located? Perhaps drop me a line. And yes it is true, after 17 years in and about the region, i am still madly enthusiastic about the India. In that regard, I am probably/ well defiantely a bit crazy by now too, but it goes with the territory.
Namaste from Delhi! Gotta pack and then off to the Delhi Airport, my home away from Home!
