Great Eats In Hong Kong
What chinese restaurants in Hong Kong are considered the best for great tasting food? Any price range welcome.

Thanks,

Mike

Mike,

This is a very difficult question. Considering there are over ten thousand restuarants in Hong Kong, "the best" depends on what you want, and what kind of food you prefer.

If you can be more specific, may be I can offer you some advice.
|
A separate mail has sent to you.
Need further info, let me know.
|
I agree about being specific as there are so many restaurants in Hong Kong. Maybe as a start why don't you look up the Hong Kong Tourist Association on the web. They not only provide a restuarant guide but a lot of good data you may want to know be traveling to that great city.

Try the Cantonese food. A restaurant called "Heichinrou Restaurant" is quite good. Dim Sum meal cost about US$25-30.
It locates at Lippo Sun Plaza of Tsimshatsui.

Wu Kong Shanghai Restaurant right off Nathan Rd is good also try American Restaurant in Wan Chai not sure why they call it American becuz it is very good and reasonable Chinese restaurant. If your get sick of Chinese try Delaney's in Wan Chai and Mad Dogs on Nathan Rd. Stay away from the Super Star on Nathan it was horrible.
Mike, there are TONS of good Chinese restaurants in HK, but here are a couple: Summer Palace in the Shangri-la Hotel, Dynasty in the New World Renaissance. You might also want to try some of the seafood restaurants on the outlying islands such as the Lamma Hilton on Lamma Island. Let me know if you need more specific info.

Two favorites- Gaddi's at the Peninsula Hotel (French/Very Expensive/Dressy) and the Red Pepper in Causeway Bay for Szechuan. Also, almost any of the seafood restaurants on Lamma Island!
|
would have loved to review The Red Pepper but Fodors have not included it. It is a long established restaurant and food and service were both first rate. The sizzling chilli prawns were fabulous!
|
Mike, please refer to the tread 'restaurants in Hong Kong' which I topped for you. Enjoy your trip.
