great BKK travel agent!!!!

after all of the help fodorites have offered to me, I want to recommend a BKK travel agent whose name I got from a BKK ex-pat. Her hotel rates are below any and all websites that have been passed along here. for example: ROS:@ 4800 baht inclusive and Marriott superior room @ 4100 baht incluove. Her SIN leg for us was substantially below any web fares and I searched zillions of sites. good luck. [email protected] Jan ps; No, I'm not getting any breaks here. she's just very helpful and responsive.

Janak: I've not priced ROS, but sawadee.com is offering rates at the Marriott on a deluxe garden view room at 4000 baht from April on.

spygirl; thanks for the tip...I'll check again BUT I thought the whole point of the river front hotels was to have a room with a river view....isn't that what all this dialog has been about?

rhkkmk, that devilsih face pointed towards the ROS came from _____________ (where) I wonder? any clues?

Actually, Janak-you raise a good point. Now that I've stayed at the Marriott-and had that deluxe river view room- I'm not at all sure that I'll take the same the next time around. I really loved the lush and lovely tropical vegetation running through the resort-I didn't realize until after I had been there a couple of days that there is a lovely lotus-choked khlong running through the middle of the property, (you can't really tell there's water there initially, because of the greenery that floats on top).

Myself, I would be quite happy with that garden view, because the river view is not all that interesting in that location (although my room did look out over the river to a small golden spired wat in the distance, so that was nice).

Janak - Thr agents rates are good providing they are for high season (to end of march). The best I could find on the internet sites was 4748 for garden view at the Marriot, which includes taxes/service charge/breakfast. ROS was 5420 (sup room).

i like the river view/garden view over the pool...i go out on the balcony in the early morning when i can't sleep and just stare out....i have never sat out there...it is too hot and uncomfortable for me...
i have decided that this time i will try the cheaper rooms...often just asking gets you a river facing room and i have some moderate marriott status....once we were in the right hand building and our room was directly over the river...i did not like it all that well...i do not like that building particularily either...i ask to be moved if i am put there...

i am doing the buy 6 nites and pay for 5 nites twice on this next trip (not consecutive stays)..it is 4300B per nite incl tax/service and breakfasts through the hua hin site that i favor....i am using them for several reservations this trip...
so your price is good but i get an extra nite...i think that doesn't start until april 1 however...
