The key to vacationing with Bob is to give him simple tasks that take up a lot of his time. It keeps him from messing up the important stuff and gives him a feeling of accomplishment.

Hmmm 2010? Definitely interested.

The last week of May and the first week of June give us great weather before the crowds arrive in July and August.

Femi Jun 9th, 2008 03:51 AM

May is a great time of year to travel. Can't say I'm 100% sure I'd go, but my vote is for May.

When in Bali, I had the "opportunity" to have fern-tip salad several times. It is not my favorite. However, the fish was always great. So were the grilled prawns.

I also note that several times when we ate with Putu, he asked to eat with his hands. he would grab a hunk of rice and scoop up whatever accompanied it.

for the male panda, we just sim[ply put the plate on the floor and he ate the usual way....at least putu asked....

Don't know if I mentioned it before, but I've decided the squirrels at the Westin in Nusa Dua have the easiest lives of any mammals. The weather is perfect. The hotel leaves nuts in boxes attached to various trees. The squirrels are not afraid of the guests and readily approach them for handoutys. In fact, they will come up to you while you're in the lounger, if you have food. They are not partial to shrimp crackers.

reductio ad absurdum is most likely.

Smeagol Jun 11th, 2008 01:07 AM

jeepers Andy do you ever sleep?

Gpanda Jun 11th, 2008 01:26 AM

Nope.

In Bali, I would go for a run, return and shower long before any of the others woke up. Speaking of which, it was fun to see the early morning activities before Ubud, Sanur and Nusa Dua came to life. People would be cleaning and setting up their commercial areas. In Sanur, on the beach path, most of the other runners were Balinese. I was surprised by this.
