Good news for a lot of people

All the bars and restaurants of Hanoi have reopened 4 days ago. Curiously, museums, pagodas and temples remain closed

Any idea when the museums, pagodas and temples will reopen?

Seems strange.

Here in Chicago we opened June 11 for virtually all businesses including museums when the goal metrics were achieved.

Right now, the situation is bad all over Vietnam. Since 2 days, new cases have passed the 5000 a-day level. Saigon is under confinement, with 1-2000 cases a-day, and all the flights to the city are banned. Contrary with what has been written, very few new cases in Hanoi (1-5 a-day), but the authorities have nevertheless recommended that people stay home except for emergencies; they have installed such a panic that, today, eggs and vegetables are rare in the markets. imposed restrictions on going out . Curiously, the province of Danang is spared and everything is open, including the restaurants in Hoi An. Total tally as of today; 55 845 cases and 255 deaths; we are still way below the Occidental records !.

Slowly and Gradually places are opening but still, Asia has to be protective as Covid 3 wave is very prominent here.

Places do not open "slowly and gradually" in Vietnam. 4-6000 new cases and 200-300 a day. In Hanoi, except minimarkets, everything is closed until 23, when it HOPEFUULLY reopens

And what about the vaccination?
If it is being done and people are jabbed twice then it will open soon.

NOT good news ! around 15 000 new cases a day (but out of 98 million people), so, it all depends where you go; Hanoi Danang-Hoi An and Saigon/Phu Quoc are open, but no cruises yet in Halong Bay and, anywhere else, it depends strictly on the LOCAL authorities, so Sapa is wide open but beautiful Babe Lake is close to tourists; therefore, you have to check before you go anywhere.

Newspapers talk about reopening of the borders for foreigners on April 1 (some talk about March 15)

EXCELLENT news: the Government has announced that the borders will reopen for foreign tourists on 15 March. If you plan to come to Vietnam, do not hesitate to contact me; I have been roaming the country for 15 years, know it upside down and can arrange a fabulous trip for you. And NO, at 79 years of age and holder of an MBA from one of the 5 best business schools in the world (HEC Paris) I DO NOT work for a travel agency.
