Good guide for day in Jakarta?
 

Hello!

Will be in flying into Jakarta for two nights and one full day, before traveling on to Yogyakarta and other destinations in Indonesia. Because of the short time span, I wanted to find a really good guide and driver to make the most of our one day in the city. Any suggestions? On a somewhat limited budget, so perhaps not an incredibly expensive guide. But interested in all recommendations!

how many people in your group? and when will u arrive in jakarta? i think i could link you with local rental car agent in Jakarta that has well-trained english speaking guide+driver. i'll ask their price, if you want to... i'll contact you again

but, FYI, the most rented car type for private tour in jakarta, the mpv type car, e.g. daihatsu xenia (google it), 1 day rental is about $30-40 (from 300.000 up to 400.000 rupiah/day). there's no way you could get lower price in Jakarta. but that's not including the english speaking guide+driver (1 person who can drive and guide u). just prepare for around $50-60 per day, but this is just my rough estimation. how about that and when will u come?

There will be two people, and we will be in Jakarta for July 1st...that's probably an okay amount. What is the name of the company that you recommend?

you can just contact them via email now, then you call them when you are just arrived at jakarta.
