Good Cheap Hostel in Kyoto
 

Hi again!

I will be staying in Japan for 9 days in August and am trying to stay on sort of budget! I have a recommendation from a friend of a good hostel to stay in in Tokyo:

But I don't know a good one in Kyoto - I could just find one randomly on the internet, but I value first hand experience! :)

I don't know if you are still looking but I have personally stayed at K's House hostel and it was fine. Clean, good security, well-run. I had a private room which was very basic and bathroom facilities were shared but it's a hostel after all. Nice lounge area and kitchen for preparing your own meals, laundry facilities and the usual hostel vibe.

I'd stay there again but really feel you can get a room somewhere like Toyoko Inn for not much more so i guess it depends on how "budget" your budget is. Bunk in dorm is 2,500 yen.
