Going to Thailand at end of June/beginning of July

Wondering which island/coast is best to stay during this rainy season... We are interested in snorkelling, beautiful scenery/beaches, adventures, and day trips to other small islands. I realize there are many options, so please tell me about your experience/preferences!

Thanks!

June and July are iffy months for the Andaman side of Thailand but on the gulf of Thailand side the weather should be good. For a combination of beach and diving try Ko Tao and Ko Nangyuan. I like Ko Nangyuan but have not been back for several years. The water around there is full of corals and fish life.
