Going From Delhi to Maldives
My wife and I are looking to fly from Delhi to Maldives and then from Maldives to Kerela to continue our trip up to Goa and eventually Mumbai. Does anyone have any suggestions on what airlines fly such routes and would we be better off flying to Kerela first and then doing a round-trip to Maldives from Kerela?

There are no direct flights that I have found from Delhi to the maldives. You would be better off the structure your itinerary to work from north to south. You can connect to the Maldives from Bombay (with Sri Lankan Air) and from Trivandrum (Kerala). Another suggestion if you are flying from the US(NY perhaps, from your email address?), is to fly into Delhi on Emirates and then fly out of the Maldives or Kerla also on Emirates. This might avoid "backtracking" to catch your flight back home.

Thanks for letting me know cause I was unable to find a flight and wanted to see if I could get any additional insight. We actually are flying into Delhi and out of Mumbai.

In that case, you could do Delhi, fly to Kerala, then fly on Indian Airlines to Male, then fly on Sri Lankan Airlines from Male to Delhi.
Please report back on your trip. Where are you staying in the Maldives? |
sorry, meant to stay you can fly from Male to Mumbai on Sri Lankan

We have yet to pick a place in the Maldives. My friend recommended Taj Exotica. We are planning on going for 2 or 3 nights.

Are there any resorts in Maldives you would recommend?

From a mental standpoint, I would say that you are going to be really disappointed with Goa's beaches after being in the Maldives. When we reache dthe Maldives after a month in INdia we were like "heaven!."
