Goa and Kochi: accommodation advice, please!
We are visiting both of these towns, and like old hotels/guest houses with 17th or 18th century ambience. Problem is, we can't usually afford to pay the premium (e.g. as at the Panjim Inn, which, but for the tariff, would have been ideal)!
I have seen the Tourist Hotel in Old Goa listed, but no information and no photos. This is NOT the Tourist Hotel in nearby Panaji -- this one is right in the old city. Does anyone have any information about this hotel?
In Kochi, we feel that Fort Cochin might be the place to stay for old-world ambience. Does anyone have any recommendations for a likely place? The Tharavadu Tourist Home and the Delight Tourist resort sound promising, but, once again, information on each is scarce.
Any assistance will be much appreciated.
