There does not seem to be a thread /section on Georgia? Has anyone travelled there and what are their experiences of travelling as a solo traveller.

I've been to Georgia. But not as a solo traveler. I did see people traveling solo. The Caucases are an amazing region to visit. You should feel safe there.

I traveled solo in Georgia in 2009. It was very easy and very cheap, don't know what the prices are like now. I traveled by marshrutka (shared mini bus), regular bus, and car and driver, but there is also a railway. Recommend getting a guidebook, I used Lonely Planet and Bradt.
