gardens in asia
Hi this programme http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/page/it...tml?src=ip_mlt
was on BBC2 last night & was really interesting. It begins by looking at gardens in Thailand, including Jim Thompsons house, then onto Singapore and Bali - they question what makes a garden in each of these areas. It makes interesting viewing, with some good background information on these countries too. |
Alas! It's only available for viewing in the UK. I'd love to see it.

I think we saw this programming on BBC while staying in Zurich our last night in Europe. Did not catch the whole thing, but did enjoy what we saw.

Sorry - I thought this could just download for all - its a shame, it was a really nice programme. They also did an earlier one on Japan and China, looking at Kyoto and Suzhou in particular. They talk about the gardens, but not only that, how it links to the culture and way of life in another country. What a pity!
