Friendly Planet tours?
 

Has anyone used this travel company before? Comments to share?<BR>Thanks!

I have not used the company, but in checking their itinerary for Australia with smarTours, it was word for word, and price. You might do a cross-check for the tour you are interested.

I saw the same thing: word-for-word exact itinerary. But when I asked Smartours about this, they say they have no knowledge of Friendly Planet. On the phone, the Friendly Planet folks are very pleasant, while I found the Smartours operators to be quite "abrupt".

Strange, I noticed the similarities also, and I since i have been happy with the trips I have taken with Smartours, I was curious. So I emailed Friendly Planet and asked them whether or not they were the same company. I received a very courteous reply stating that although Smartours and Friendly Planet are not the same, they do work together on setting up and offering tours.
