Forums Newsletter: What do you say?

Hello everybody---happy Wednesday.

We've been thinking here about adding another newsletter to our offerings; we currently send out a weekly Fodor's Newsletter every Thursday.

My question: if we were to offer a Community newsletter---a newsletter that pointed to great trip reports, lively travel discussions, and new user reviews---would you be likely to sign up for it? I envision a newsletter that will quickly "catch-up" users who maybe don't check in everyday. I'd also like a chance to highlight community happenings---for instance a GTG alert/mini report.

What's the barometer of interest from folks here?

If interested, would you be most likely to sign up for a newsletter that you received monthly, bi-weekly, or weekly?

I'm thinking that bi-weekly might be the best. Any thoughts? Suggestions?

i think it would enhance our participation.....it would allow those of us who concentrate on say asia to know about something hot on US or europe....

weekly might keep things fresh....but bi-weekly would also work....

i will ask again: any chance of about 35 freebies for the boston GTG on oct 13? last year we were sent some luggage tags...thanks...bob

Hey Bob-- I'll email you about sending something fun along for the GTG.

Thanks for your input!

I would definitely sign up for such a newsletter. Hopefully, it would include a humor section.

Much as I enjoy checking in on Fodor's just about everyday, I'm not sure a newsletter would be something I'd be interested in. It would be more info than I could handle.
But never say never...

Yes, would be good.

I think every 2 weeks would be enough.

I agree, something easy going, some humour would make it interesting.
