I was emailing with Tong about Feb 8th and know that you will be in BKK that day as well. I would like to do the Fishing Village and possibly the floating market with Tom who is available that day. It comes to over 200 USD with all the extras (outside the city etc). Would you be interested in doing it with us? (We too are a couple in our 30's).

Unfortunately we leave the 8th to go to Siem Reap. We are emailing Tong about the 5th of Feb and doing FM & FV. When do you arrive in BKK? Would the 5th work for you? It would be good to get together while over there.

are you sure on that price?? it seems way high....the base is only 3000B or less than $100

We don't get to BKK until the 6th. Bummer that won't work.
I have the quote from Tong and with the base of 3000 (Toms large sedan), extra 2000 baht for fishing village, 800 or so for gas, plus 80 for tolls and floating mkt boat charge of 400, when I added it up and converted it was about 210. That did seem awfully high. Any suggestions? I said that we would be happy to have company, although my husband feels differently!

That is about what we are being quoted for FV and FM. I guess because they are both out of town. Too bad we can't share in the cost.

with all those things included it does not seem all that bad...remember the bigger car adds a lot to the price---almost 75% above the basic price

sorry i read it as large van as 2000 more....but now i see that is the boat/lunch/reed charges....
