Food tours in HCMC/Saigon?

Has anyone been on one? Recommendations?

Are the 'night' tours/markets better?

I'm happy to join a group tour, but finding a private one for myself and two others would be superb.

Thanks!

Just walk around. There is food everywhere in these cities.

Dinner, icecream and 5 beers should cost about $20.

The tours worth doing are full day tours to things that are hard to reach which isnt food.

Yes, Prachuap, but I am travelling with my parents who have food intolerances, so having someone be able to tell us what is/is not safe to eat is necessary.

I see the terrible twins are at it again! Soon you will be reminded to "thank" them for their services or you will be ask if their comments were useful - LOL.

For Hanoi there's the excellent Hanoi Kids tour and I am pretty sure that there's a Ho Chi Minh version as well. Perhaps if you email Hanoi Kids tour they will give you the name and contact?

Sorry I cannot be of more help but I'll post the link for the Hanoi Kids tour below.

From my experiences on Ho Chi Minh food, the pho is different from the North of Vietnam and in general I found the food more interesting up North.

OK I think this is the one: http://saigonhotpot.vn

Perhaps you can double check with Hanoi Kids.

Haha of course they are Hanuman! Seems like 'they' have taken an interest in opening all of my posts and berating me for asking any sort of question (while never actually providing advice ;) )

Hanoi Kids looks like a great organization! I'll reach out to them to see if they have a counterparty in HCMC, as I wont' have much free time in Hanoi. I'll also check out that other link too :)

I used Hanoi kids they were great, there is also a food tour for Hanoi called Hidden Hanoi, you may want to look at their website and see if they have an operation in HCMC.
