Flying from Yangon to Bagan ... Scared?

We're supposed to fly from Yangon to Bagan in mid-August on Bagan Air. Should we be scared? I saw a blog post suggesting there is a real risk to flying.
Thanks

The alternative is the train, an even more fearful prospect.

I suggest be scared, if you must, but fly anyway.

There is a real risk to flying... but the risk is much less than you driving to the airport in your own city.

We flew Air Bagan, Air KBZ, and Air Mandalay while in Burma. All flights were on time, smooth take offs and landings. What's nice is that the internal flights are usually very short.

Keep in mind, all of us responding have survived. It's the ones not responding one should listen to.

You could always do your complete Myanmar trip by road.
Hiring a car, and driver who'll also be your guide, is v.easy.
And you'll see far more of the country and the people at ground-level.
