Fly Saigon-Bangkok?

I'm thinking of trying to get from Saigon to Bangkok in November. It looks like 3 airlines fly the route...Jetstar Asia site refers me to Pacific Airways. Pacific Airways doesn't publish the flight out more than a couple of months. Vietnam Airlines also doesn't list flights that far ahead. Thai airways will let me reserve a flight for about 4 million Dong, but won't let me pay online.

Is this route flown daily in the winter? Would it be best to just wait until in Vietnam to purchase the ticket from an agent there? How much should I expect to pay for this 1 way trip?

Have you checked out Bangkok Airways? They are a boutique Thai airline, not to be confused with Thai Airways.

Thanks for the suggestions. I never realized Bangkok Airways served so many destinations.

I will contact Eddie.

Bangkok Airways just started flying HCMC to Bangkok. They code share with Pacific. I flew the route just two weeks ago, and they were cheaper than Thai.

Also, I just saw that Thai Air Asia would start flying the route, but they also don't allow bookings more than 3 month in advance.

Lufthansa also flies this route 4 days/week. A good fare for a one-way ticket would be around $150USD (including all taxes).

As Michael said Air Asia flies this route twice a week friday/monday. Cheap ar around $68 net but watchout for the baggage limit
