I just flew the same route last month and Thai International has a direct flight from Bangkok to Denpasar(Bali). I flew business class and the ticket cost around 40,000 baht, or US $1,000 and Thai had a buy one get one free promotion which meant that it only cost 20,000 baht per person. I think economy is around 16,000 baht.

Thai Airways flies every day to Bali. When we went in 2002, we bought our BKK-DPS tickets from a Thai travel agency www.thaifly.com - they charged about $50 to DHL the tickets to us but the cost was much less than buying here in the US.

You can buy on line and get an e-ticket, save you some $ on mail.

Don't know if the policy has changed but Thai would only offer certain flights as e-tickets. BKK-DPS was not one of them. That may have changed - best to check www.thaiairways.com to see if you can book there first.

I just checked the Thai Airways web site - you still can't purchase a BKK - DPS e-ticket from outside of Thailand.

I just tried it and you're right Craig, no e-tickets for this route. I think you can still book it and click the button: "Collect your tickets at THAI city office in the country where the journey commences." and this should save you $.

Craig Nov 23rd, 2004 06:28 AM

You can do that but you have to pick up the tickets within three days of purchase if I have read the terms and conditions correctly.
