Flights from BKK and Siem Reap
We are considering visiting Angkor Wat during our trip to Thailand in late September/early October. Anyone know how full flights will be during that time of year? We'd like to wait until we're in Thailand before committing to a reservation. Also, as a side question, are there flights from Chiang Mai to Siem Reap? I've reseached on this site and haven't found an answer; I also checked Thai Air and Bangkok Air and didn't see any. Thanks....

i do not believe that there are flights from CM to SR...although someone reported earlier this week that they had taken one...???
september is not a prime time to be in either place, but that does not eliminate the possibility of full planes as there are only a few flights per day and the planes are small...myself i would not risk not getting the flight i wanted....i believe the tickets are both refundable and exchangable, but i would want to verify that before i purchased if i though i might need to cancel...
bkk air is the usual method to get from thailand to SR...they co-fly with siem reap airlines.....

The flights from BKK to Siem Reap fill up very fast as it gets closer to the travel date. We would check the Bangkok Airways site while we were planning our trip and flights appeared wide open, but within the next week they would all be full (it may be that groups book blocks of seats). In any case, your options for getting from BKK to Siem Reap are limited, so it is definitely worth it to book flights in advance (since you can cancel/change without big penalties).

You should definately look into the Bangkok Air Discovery Airpass. I just purchased tickets for BKK>Siem Reap>BKK>Koh Samui>Hong Kong for only $330 per person. The trip is not until September but I wanted to make sure I got the dates and times I wanted. I have heard they limit the seats for this pass.
