Flight Phuket x Bali

Morning Fodorites!!!

Just trying to find cheap flight from Phuket to Bali, its around 300u$ one way, Is it really correct?

My plan flight trip is

Madrid x Bangkok
Bangkok x Phuket
Phuket x Bali
Bali x Bangkok
Bangkok x Madrid

Hanuman May 10th, 2013 06:15 AM

It should be cheaper if you fly from Bangkok but then you will have to spend more money flying from Phuket to Bangkok as well.

How about:

MAD - BKK
DMK(Bangkok) - HKT(Phuket)
HKT - DMK * Return ticket from DMK to HKT should be around $150 if you book in advance.
DMK - DPS(Bali)
DPS - BKK - MAD

Flight looks OK if you don't mind stopping and transiting in KL. Big airport but far from down town and IMO KL is a bit boring. If you're flying on Air Asia do note that you will have to get your luggage and check in again for the KL - DPS flight.

Re - fishing. I'm an avid marlin fisherman and Brasil has some big blue marlins hence my comment.

If you transit in KL on Air Asia, you have to go through passport control, pick up your luggage, go through customs, re-check your bags at the Air Asia counter, go through security and back through passport control. So allow yourself plenty of time. Hanuman's suggestion to fly to Bangkok before flying to Bali means you have to re-check your luggage, but no hassles with passport control and customs.

Manyyy tnks... i dont worry about re-check and get my luggage, just worried about the prices...

In Brazil i prefer fish in Amazon and Pantanal, there are more life and nature to see.. ;-)

see yaaaa...

I think there won't be much difference in price between flying to Bangkok to catch the flight to Bali or flying to Kuala Lumpur to catch the flight. The difference will be going through passport control and customs (which takes time) or just re-checking your luggage (much faster). All of these flights are on Air Asia.

Denpasar in Bali is an international airport with connections through a number of Asian cities back to Madrid, not just Bangkok. Why limit yourself? With a multi-destination ticket from KLM, as an example, you can fly through Amsterdam to Bangkok, then return from Bali via Singapore and Amsterdam to Madrid. $1400 approx. in October (it's hard to suggest prices when you did not give your dates.) The flight out of Bali is on a feeder airline but can be booked through KLM, giving advantages in terms of baggage transfers etc. Korean seems to have the lowest price at the time but will strand you in Incheon airport for too many hours of your life.
For budget airlines between Phuket and Denpasar, try www.skyscanner.net
