Flight options to visit java and bali

Hello All

I am planning to visiting Java (across island) and Bali.
My first option was:
Flight In and out of Bali with a long loop across Java.

Flight In at Jakarta - out from Bali . (No loop but ticket more expensive)

Any advise ?

How does the extra cost of flying into Jakarta and out of Bali compare to the extra cost of returning to Bali? It is usually cheaper, not to mention saves time that can be better used, to avoid returning to the arrival city.

Did you price a multi-city fare, or two one ways?

Any advice? Yes , buy the ticket that suits your plans and which you can afford. No one can really make the decision for especially as you fail to mention from where you intend flying.

Other than flying directly into Jakarta there are many different hubs you can use to get to either place . Singapore, Bangkok, KL, HK etc.

When we did that trip a few years ago we flew into Jakarta from Penang and took the train in stages down through Java before crossing by ferry to northern Bali and eventually flying out of Denpasar. Our flights were with Air Asia who prices all their flights as one way rather than return fares. Like all airlines they operate a dynamic pricing system and fares vary, often day to day and tend (but not always) to rise the closer you get to departure.
