You may find my trip report helpful Long India Trip Report---Rajasthan Nov/Dec 04 We spent three weeks in Rajasthan and while we organized a car and driver through a travel agent we booked all of the hotels directly. In the posting I have lots of weblinks and recommendations which you may find helpful. 3 weeks is a decent amount of time as long as you don't try to see all of India! |
I think Varanasi is a MUST see.
I also noticed no one mentioned tigers. I would go back to Ranthmbore tomorrow to see tigers if I could. |
we did 3 trips at Ranthambore and never saw a tiger! If you go, plan on seeing wildlife, but seeing a tiger should only be a bonus..
|
I know we are very lucky but on each of 3 days at Ranthambhore this January we saw a tiger, it was amazing! Even if we hadn't I would have still been very glad we went, it is a beautiful park and we saw a lot of other wildlife; leopards, deer, crocadiles, wild boar, many different types of birds.
|
OK, I envy you seeing leopards at Ranthambore. I didn't even hear about them. The scenery and other wildlife was great
