Finally low cost flights from Bangkok to Siem Reap

As of October 1 Air Asia will have one flight per day leaving BK at 10.20 and arriving SR at 11.30. Return fair will range on the average from $115 to $175 depending on the travel dates. Over Christmas and New Years will be the most expensive. Baggage cost will add a few dollars. Still way cheaper than Bangkok Air which is around $360. With only 1 flight it may be hard to get a seat unless booked well in advance especially in peak season.

Great to have flight but does not seem cheap. Quite the opposite. Am I missing something. Please correct me but I'm seeing roughly 700 dollars for two for round trip. 21,000 baht.? Is this correct.?

Are you looking at the Air Asia website? I just checked a couple of random dates in October and found roundtrip fares of 3940 Baht per person ($126) including all taxes and fees. I'm not sure what you were looking at.

$700 is approximately the roundtrip fare Bangkok Air has charged on this route for years.

By the way, if you are looking on general booking sites like expedia, you won't find Air Asia, as they are a budget airline.
