film...
g'day folks, we are staying in Langkawi for 2 weeks and was wondering if I should buy film here in Australia before I leave or is there plenty of places to buy it in Langkawi, and is it duty free?
As long as you don't buy it at the hotels a roll of Kodak or Fuji 100 costs MYR8-9 or abt A$4-5 a roll, available at all minimarts.

Now, what on earth are you going to do 2 weeks in langkawi??? I'd be bored after 3 days..unless of course, I'm staying at the Datai.

there must be something to do there for 2 weeks...god I hope so...lots of swimming and walking....DAMN!!!
|
Walk in 35C heat and 90% humidity? Great if you are camel. I'd rather be having a massage while sipping coconut juice. But seriously, what will you be doing 2 weeks in Langkawi?

Hello Shaun,

It gets pretty wet this time of the year. Rent a car to go round the island, esp. getting into the 'kampung' which means village. You may also take a ferry(if you dont get seasick since water can be choppy now) to Penang or other parts of the mainland. It can be a day trip or otherwise.

Seriously, 5 days would be more than enough for Langkawi. It's just a small island-good for a weekend getaway.

I would suggest spending a few days in Penang or Hatyai. Or maybe you would like to consider going down to KL or Malacca.

Two weeks is too long for Langkawi.
