Feedback on Narrowed Down Hotel Choices in Busan

My 70+-year-old mom and I will be traveling to Korea in spring of 2025. We'll spend about 5 days in Busan, focusing on a different part of the city each day. It seems like the most central/convenient areas to stay in aren't necessarily the prettiest. I've done a bunch of research and narrowed it down to a handful of hotels. I'd love feedback on the convenience and safety of each area.

We're looking at rooms that have 2 separate beds. All options below have booking.com ratings of 8+ and Google ratings of 4+. Breakfast and extra amenities aren't really important to me. We don't plan to spend a lot of time in the hotel, but large windows and a nice view would be a plus. Budget is ~$100/night. We'd prefer not to be more than a 10 minute walk from a metro station.

Aventree Hotel - 7 min to Nampo Station (good reviews, small room)
Denbasta Central Hotel - 9 min walk to Seomyeon Station (high floor, king beds, small window, 2-star hotel)
Yuna Hotel - 10 min walk to Seomyeon Station (largest room, least expensive, 2-star hotel)
Hound Hotel - 3 min walk to Busan Station (large window, very close to Busan station, rooftop with nice views)
Travelodge Suite Busan Centum - 9 min walk to BEXCO station (sea view, in-room washing machine, less central area, shower visible throughout room)

Any thoughts on these neighborhoods/locations or the specific hotels?

I've only been to Busan once, and I stayed at the Elysees Hotel ( from photos it looks like it has been remodeled). I liked the location.

Busan is very spread out, so it depends on what places you intend to visit. You didn't say, so it's a little difficult to figure out.

Of those you selected, it seems that Hound Hotel Busan Station is not in a neighborhood itself: it is wedged between the train station and an 8-lane fast route that looks undesirable to cross. So it would give me a bleak feeling of being isolated and stuck. I would find this location depressing although it would indeed be very quick to hop on the subway.

Bexco is a mega convention center in a 'neighborhood' of convention center stuff and business buildings, so I would also find that a bit stark. it is also not centrally located, in general.

Samyeon Station is centrally located, though I am not sure there is anything there of interest. I would say Yuna Hotel is a lot further than 1 minute to the subway compared to the Denbasa Hotel.

Aventree Hotel is located in an exciting location with a vast network of connected traditional markets and shopping streets. Easy walk to many sights, including the Jagalchi Fish Market, but the entire area is a wonderland of markets. Though could be further from other areas you want to visit. Some of those subway rides in Busan are so long they seem more like inter-city travel.

There are times when it is much quicker and easier to just take a cab.

At night, strolling form the Lotte Department store down the pedestrianized Nampo-gil to BIFF Square is a riot of color and lights that is a memorable experience.

Also Gwangalli Beach at night seeing the Diamond Bridge (and all the skyscrapers) lit up is quite the sight.

P.S. - I stayed in a hotel room with nothing but glass between the bathroom and the bedroom. It was easy for us to drape a provided bathrobe and/or towels to cover it up. If there's not enough in the room, just ask. It's not necessarily a dealbreaker.

Thanks for your response shelemm !

We're planning to visit BIFF square, Gamcheon Culture Village, the Songdo area, Haedong Yonggungsa, Haeundae Blueline park, Hainnyeol Culture village, Gwangalli and Haeundae beaches, and possibly Oryukdo Igidae if there's time - so really we'll be all over.

It sounds like Aventree is our best bet, so I've made a booking with free cancellation. The in-room washing machine and sea views at the Travelodge Centum are also a draw, so I'm still considering that one a contender.

Bertween Songdo, Gamcheon, BIFF (the square itself is not a big deal, but the entire area is really hopping with activity) then the Aventree would be a good area to stay in. Just realize there will be a day when you have a much longer ride for Yonggungsa, but you could incorporate that and Haeundae in one day.

Have you considered Bemeosa and
