Wow Bella thanks.. when i checked on Amazon it said it could take up to 6 weeks (got the impression it was comung from the US) will try tonight. If not i will take the ISDN no as you suggest into my local Borders...
Thanks again |
If you click on 'used and new' - ie to purchase of a non-amazon seller, there is a new one on sale there for £7.99 and will take 7-10 days - have you got that long before you leave?
hope this helps and that you have a good trip L |
Or available at more expensive price direct from amazon - ships within 24 hours, must have got some stock in.
Best wishes |
Kathie- I looked in my journal for the address of Naga House, but it's not there. I must have written it somewhere else. If you want it, let me know and I'll try to find it before I leave tomorrow. Happy Travels!

Guenmai - thanks for the offer. I'll do some looking, I expect I can find it.
Is it already time for your trip to Bangkok? |

Kathie...No, I leave for Bangkok on Dec 16th...hopefully. I haven't had time to call Thai Air to see if my ticket has been changed around due to possible cancellations of flights. Aren't you going to Bangkok in December, too? Happy Travels!
|
Guenmai, I'm in Bangkok in mid-November for a few dyas, then back the last few days of November and the first of December. I fly home on Dec 2, so I think we'll miss each other, unfortunately.
Thanks for the address, Gloria. I'm also going to miss your time in Bangkok. Next year, we'll have to coordinate better. |
Yep, Kathie...we'll miss each other by about 3 weeks...but hopefully you can post your list of serviced apartments before I leave and info on the condos, too. Then I'll check out some more places whenI get there. Then when I get home, I'll start a new thread. We need to devise a checklist of things to look for in serviced apartments...like...how close the nearest supermarket is...also...does the serviced apartment building have a laundry room...and if not can a washer/dryer be installed in the apartment and how much would it cost...also...how close/far is the skytrain away...and what interesting/decent restaurants are within walking distance...and is there a bank nearby...also...how deep into the soi is the building located...and is it a street that floods alot...check for water lines on buildings and poles...if it's deep into the soi...then does there appear to be a lot of tuk-tuks roaming the area if one needs transportation....These are a few things that I considered when I was looking in August. Happy Travels!

You will be pleased to know that thanks to Bella i have been able to get the Trasures and pleasures book. So my BF can now blame you when i max out his Amex (lol) Cannot wait to receive it... Thanks Bella for checking that out for me. Jane |
Narai Phand across from the massive mall, sorry can't remmber the name, has a nice collection. Some things are touristy, but some are lovely. Any local will know this place, as it's where they go to buy gifts when they travel.
