Fabric selection at Cotton House

Do they have a wide variety of fabrics, including solids, prints, silk and other kinds?

Is it better to take your designs?

Best time to go?

I've been meaning to ask a similar question so I'm hoping someone will answer.

Do they have blended fabrics like wool with lycra to give it a little stretch? Is this easy to find in Bangkok? I have some suits made out of this blend and I find them more comfortable that straight wool.

Thanks!

They have a large selection of solids -- somewhat fewer prints especially in thai silk. They do have a lot of different types of fabrics -- different silks, wools, linen, cotton as well as different types of blends. In addition they have samples of fabrics they can get for you.

i would question whether they would have that lycra and wool blend however, but maybe....

if you have time they can probably get you most anything, but without time it may not be possible...several days...

linen for instance, last june they only had about 3 to choose from...silk they have tons....cottons a decent supply...

Out of interest does anyone know if they will make up fabric you bring with you. Most tailors do but of course they don't make much money without selling the cloth. But it might make some things possible if they don't stock the fabric.

Where's guenmai? I think she took fabric with her to Thailand to have stuff made...

I think any place will make up items from your own fabric. I've never hears of a place saying no.
