Experiences with the Golden Chariot Train?
 

We are considering taking a luxury train for a week in India and wanted some feedback. Is it worth it? Anybody know anything about the Palace on Wheels?

I've been on the Golden Chariot. Twas the Maiden voyage so my experiences were a little dirent, I guess - but, ater mucho thouht, I think it's a damn fine - and <i>really</i> efficient - way to see all that great stuff in Karnataka. If you have the cash I'd highly recommend it.

Strangely enough, I've just been laying some pics and words from that trip on my website over the last few days. I'll try and bring them up for you. Back soon.

It's undoubtedly the most comfortable way to see Karnataka, lol. (I did it rather differently...) But don't confuse it with regular Indian train travel.

I've just looked into the prices. This may be a bit rich for me.
