Experience with Ratt or Tongs team
 

I am unable to book either of these ladies for our Bangkok stay this November. They have each offered "someone form my team" Opinions?

I was in BKK in April and both of those ladies were also booked. I went through Ratt and used Mr. Yuth. He spoke some English, and he was very punctual, nice, and considerate. His taxi was in good shape and the air conditioner worked well (a must!!!). I would recommend him if you don't need a lot of information about the city. He is not a tour guide, so if you just need a driver, I would highly recommend him, but if you want a tour guide, I would continue asking around.

Neither Julie nor her staff are guides, but I used one of Julie's staff (Emma) to go to the Prasart a couple years ago.

Think about whether you need a driver or a guide.

I only have experience with Tong's team. I've used Nui, one of tongs guides in feb this year. She was very good. We spent 2 days with her.

We were back in Bangkok in June with friends and booked a guide for them from tong's team, Aon as tong was already booked. My friends were very pleased with her as well.

I don't you could go wrong with anyone tong recommends. She's very particular about the quality of the guides in her team.

I told Ratt that I want to engage her services only and no one else on her team. We agreed on a price and it was a deal. We've engaged her services before so she knows us well. But that doesn't matter. Just try what I did. When I write her I give her a leeway so she can squirm out of what she has already said to save face -- that's important for Asians.
