Expedia?
I am trying to buy tickets for Seattle-BKK on EVA. The prices on Expedia are $35 less per ticket than the prices on the EVA website. Are there any advantages (other than price) or disadvantages of using Expedia versus buying directly from EVA?

It may not include taxes
|
I got the full quote including taxes from both websites-the price including taxes is $35 less on Expedia.

If the price is better, go ahead. My experiencce has been that Expedia is more expensive than the airline website, but I do know that sometimes Expedia gets a special deal from the airline. Just make sure the price you are looking at includes all taxes and fees.

You may find getting seat assignments a problem- go with the one who can give you your seat assignments at the time of booking.

doesn't expedia also charge a processing fee....
i would much rather deal with the airline if there is any problem or change than with expedia.... i find the expedia, and other similar sites, good for reference but not great for price and service... go to the source for a $35 difference...what's $35 in the scope of your total trip?? 2%??? |
I've had some very cheap deals through expedia AND on a couple of occaisions been able to select seats at time of booking. Expedia has also been very good at keeping you informed of timetable changes.
I would also recommend Lastminute.com for good airfares. |
i always check flights on expedia, travelocity and with the airline, as often the first 2 are cheaper. never had a problem with seat allocation, especially if you join the FF club
