Exchange Aussie$ in Beijing Rate?

Could anyone quote the current rate of exchange IN BEIJING for Aussie Dollar to Yuan?
(DH reckons it is better to do it at home, but I'm wondering) Thank you.

You should get something close to this: http://www.boc.cn/sourcedb/whpj/enindex.html

In my experience, it's always more expensive to get foreign currency before you go. Better to exchange your money once you get there - or better yet - withdraw money from an ATM once you get there.

As Kathie says, the best rate is from an ATM. Make sure your bank (and credit card issuers) know you will be traveling, and check on the fees they will charge. I have cards I use only for travel as they carry no foreign conversion fees.

Thank you all - it seems to make only a few cents difference after all, if Hanuman's B of C source is correct - good site. Travelex here is 5.9Yuan and BoC 6.29
Our Aussie $ is going down again - good for the country, of course.
Thanks again

Australia has one of the worst exchange rates that I ever saw in my numerous travels.
Better do it in China. There are ATMs at the airport.
