Anyone have recommendations? I'm 57, fairly adventurous, am half Filipino but don't speak Tagalog.

Most people can speak English in the city so you wont have a problem. If you go to remote provinces it might be a little hard but for sure you will find someone who can speak english.

You can check out Gigantes Island, Boracay, Guimaras, Malalison island if you are in Iloilo City.
