Entrance to China

Hello there. My colleague and I will be traveling to China at the end of July. We both will be in either Africa or Costa Rica in mid-June. Does anyone know how that might affect the customs process as we try to enter the country?

Thank you for your reply!

I guess you mean immigration, not customs. I fail to see how this would impact. As long as you have your passport and a visa.

If you have been in a yellow fever area of Africa, you would need to show proof of immunization when you enter China. But then you would have needed to show proof of vaccination when you entered the African country with endemic yellow fever.

My understanding that this is only the case if you come directly from such a country (doesn't sound like it here). Check this old thread: http://www.fodors.com/community/asia...-fever-vax.cfm
Note that there are no longer health forms to be filled on arrival. In other forums, it has been reported that even on flights coming directly from such countries, nobody was asked about proof of vaccination.
